• So finally got round to doing some chicken just after the Chooken Challenge finished!

    Had some home made Piri Piri sauce which I decided to marinate some Chicken Maryland's in for a few hours and then throw on the Akorn direct over charcoal with no deflector. Cooked at about 350f for 30 - 40 minutes turning every 10 minutes or so and giving a quick basting of Piri Piri sauce.

    Served up with some rocket and corn that was smoked in the husk in the Akorn on the shelf above the chicken. Also served some rice with it at the girlfriend's request, although it really wasn't needed.
