+1, send urbangriller a PM, he WILL get back to you. Delivery / supply this time of year can be a challenge, but trust me he will do what he can.

OK the answer to this is, I don't have any in stock.
...we are only allowed to sell the ones cut to fit GMG, BBQs Galore are the Australian Distributor for all sizes.

the ones cut to fit GMG
3 panels fit half a DB, is that correct? so if 1 of the DB racks fits my Ziggy Twin, then i would kill 2 birds with 1 stone?... Better check this tonight then...

3 panels is 390mm, half the DB is 340mm

I got these the other day, based on recommendations from here.
The grill marks were ridiculously good... I feel like I could have made the grill a little hotter still though..
Does anyone have a rough guide how much they run their Kamado at for best results?
-
I find that 300c is plenty for a pretty severe maillard reaction. I think from memory their marketing schtick says it adds on about 75-100c to your 'normal' perceived grill temp.

So question to all.
As you know I have a DB, Saffire and portable Ziggy.
Thinking of getting Grillgrates.
My thinking is to simply get the ones to fit the Saffire and then if I want to use on the others I can place them on the current grills due to size differences.
Thoughts ?

That's what I did and it's the best choice in my opinion. You get the set of three, one of which is straight and the other two have trimmed ends plus the large fork which is handy for burgers.
I generally use 2 in Ziggy or sometimes only one if I'm only doing a couple of steaks and I've got the three to use in the kamado (which is the same size as your saffire).

so for searing in DB just holes open and above firebox?
-
Grill Grates in all the sizes should be available from next week.
. More of my hard earned headin your way mate.
-
Would do so also but want them for the tonight / weekend.
Maybe I need to plan these things better.
I did read the note above that Chris was unable to stock any other than the GMG ones.
Apologies Chris. Thanks for the Photos.
I assume now that Grill Grates Australia is coming up on FB all of their products are available at all BBQ retailers ?

So was feeling guilty as I should have gotten these from Chris but had already had them put aside for me at BBQ G Capalaba.
Here's the funny part they miss quoted me the price of $70 (should be $109). Yes they admitted it and owned the mistake.
Actually had a good chat to the manager who runs a Big Joe and a Timberline. He was very interested in the GMG particularly the pizza attachment.
Now I don't feel as guilty anymore.

yes, on the low rack.

Low rack ?

Yeah, that's from what I remember having had a DB here. I mean they sit on the rack as it comes with the DB which is low down and close to the deflector, not the extender rack you can get as an option. I think Chris removes the fire box cover for direct grilling but he'll clarify that.
-
I also have similar equipment and i personally stopped using the grill grates in the DB. Pellets were getting too expensive .
Now i just use them on the ziggy or kamado after first hitting the meat with GMG smoke.
