Second attempt with the Cobb tonight and I added a few more heat beads. Started with 10 and added two more part way through but it may not have been necessary. The chook was done in a little over an hour so it was about right.
I used the chicken stand and it worked really well. Lit beads and ready in about 20 minutes. Not crispy so maybe more heat early would be better but very tender and moist.
Spuds in the Weber Q. I'll try them in the Cobb next time but wanted to see how many beads it took just for a chicken.
