As far as I know we don't have any wild ones over here in the West. If we did, those pics would be enough for me to get out and bag one for myself.
There are indeed wild deer in WA, my understanding is there are Fallow, Red and Rusa deer all living and breeding in the wild. WA also has the only wild herd of Blackbuck antelope in Aus but finding them is the difficult part. Unlike most of the eastern state where deer have game animal status WA declares them pests to be eradicated on sight. Hence those that know where their locations are very hesitant to pass anything along and finding info on them extremely difficult.

Yeah, they are over taking my area so it is open season...
Same on the Gold coast or south east Queensland. Problem is people see them as cute and are unaware they are an introduced pest.
