Well because I have been such a good boy this year. Santa personally delivered me an early Xmas present. I'm pretty stoked, I have a little bit of work to do to finish her off, but I'm very happy with the gift. I'll keep yas posted of the progress. I was going to origanally change it from a reverse flow to a straight through offset but I might light the fire and see how the temps go. I may be converted.
Well santa just come.

That looks awesome! Just wondering why you would want to change a reverse flow?

Yeah not sure yet never cooked on one will have to see how she goes and go from there.

Good thinking. I've never used one either but reports suggest they are very good. Maybe due to more even heat distribution ?

The Reverse Flow is all about even heat (sometimes, that's not what you want) but at the sacrifice of efficiency, they use about 50% more fuel!
Good looking work horse JJ...you must have been a really good boy (I wasn't!).

Can't have been that good, he's still got my manky old sieve
Nice score mate. Some details please. A local custom build? Size? Weight? Got some more pics. Looks very cool.
Still got the half rusted offset?
