Well, I'm impressed. I did a roast lamb backstrap and spuds in the Cobb with 15 of these charcoal beads and it went as planned. Cooked the lamb in around 30-40 minutes and almost an hour for crispy roast spuds.
But most of all, here's what is left of the fuel after we also heated up some apple crumble for desert, which means they've been burning for two hours.....
That is way better than Kingsfords which would be mostly ash after that time so I'm really impressed and these guys will be my Cobb fuel from now on. I'd like to see them in a kettle next.
