Spur of the moment thing today. Going to try took up a pork picnic shoulder and see if I can get it to crackle later on. Not sure it'll fly but lets see.
Anyone has any tips yell out.

Forget the crackle and concentrate on the meat.

Banged it in the Hark @ 250f as have a bit of running around to do then I'll move it to either the Akorn or the Holy Grail. ( I've got that fired up just now to do some beef cheeks.

Plan to cook it on 250ish until its ready then let it rest while I get something up to 500f and see what happens

Looftlighter or Paint Stripper gun works
Grill in the oven will do it. I've also done it over a small fire direct in the akorn and the family q.
Take it off the meat while the meat is resting.
