I've been disappointed with a lot of the imported lump charcoal available in my area of late.
Particularly the rank smell and taste from some of the mangrove charcoal.
My Bunnings is stocking the new Heat Beads Hardwood Lump Charcoal, the bag states it is imported, not wanting to risk another bag of rotten mangrove charcoal I emailed Auschar last Friday asking them the source of their lump.To their credit I received a response today.
Here is the email I sent Auschar and their response:
"Hi Heat Beads,
Can you tell me what types of hardwoods are used in the production of Heat Beads Hardwood Lump Charcoal?
I don't like the flavor of the mangrove wood that most brands package these days, can you confirm if Heat Beads Hardwood Lump Charcoal contains mangrove wood or not?
Thanks and regards,
Peter"

Tracey"
