When you say Chamber Fire, what was it? ...you say Fat Fire?
There should not be any fat in the cooking chamber, that should all be channelled outside, if the fat drain is leaking that is a problem, there should only be dust inside the chamber..
What does the burn pot look like? did it overflow?
-
I predicted the drain could cause a problem in the other thread were my initial thoughts, Even then you would still not want it to happen.
Most of my cookers have lost their paint or finish so I personally wouldn't worry about it but I aint like most people and it is still a new unit.
I would be more concerned about fixing it so it doesn't happen again. I would do it by drilling out the hole to make it bigger.meat looks like a cracker by the way.

Yeah that was my initial thoughts.
if the fat drain is leaking that is a problem,
Yeah well there is some leakage, as I mentioned the drip tray certainly needs to be longer in length as I had to move it as I had fat leakage outside of the drip tray reach. Hope that makes sense.

I remembered that too! Well predicted by looks of it.
meat looks like a cracker by the way.
Thanks, probably took it just a shade to far. But the bottom bark was to much for the Fornetto knife, had to get the swibo steak knife for that task.

No overflow.

Yeah bigger hole and bigger drip tray. I feel.

I went back to Swampys pic (still not one assembled in the Bibra Lake Bunings so I can't see it in person), IMO that is a design flaw and Fornetto need to have a solution for it, you cannot have fat pooling next to a fire pit that is throwing out live ash, someone will burn their house down!

Yeah I agree. Fornetto notified and awaiting feedback.
Freaked me right out I must say. -
Hope they can come up with an easy fix so they're not pulled from the market.
Having more of these out there will drive up competition for pellets.
-
wow that is glaringly obvious, that drain could easily be angled and sealed during fabrication.
If you have a fabricator mate get him to sleeve the drain and angle the bottom/weld seal. Bout a 6 beer job I rekon

Meat looks great GG.
I hope fornetto fix this for you as I would think you won't be the only person experiencing this problem.
Again like wazza I hope more of these are sold to reduce the price of pellets.

I have no idea but I don't think it is a hard ask to rectify as mentioned by Geoffo.

Not yet. Thought more important to let Fornetto know first.
I am certain the wheels would turn slower at Bunnings. -
