Can someone explain to me what the big deal is about Smash Burgers? Is it just an american thing or is there an actual point or benefit to doing them that way??
Forums and social media are flooded with people (admittedly mainly American) showing off and talking up how good smash burgers are - but i dont get it - just seems same as if you cook burgers on a hot plate on any type of BBQ - except this way you could be potentially squeezing all the juices out.
Am i missing something??
